Development Framework

Each of our development platforms follows our cyclical learning framework: Observe, Orient, Engage.

Observe

The first step toward cultural proficiency is the ability to Observe. Clients will have the opportunity to see how they view the world, see events through the eyes of others different from themselves, and observe how culture and ethnicity impact each area of life and work.

Orient

Every leader is oriented to the world from their point of view. Their own culture has greatly shaped their perspective, family, lived experiences, ethnicity, and environment. We provide leaders the opportunity to orient these elements into a framework that will help them make better decisions, employ a better depth of understanding, and give them a more accurate sense of their reality and context. They will also recognize the value of how past, present, and future events can affect us. Orienting and engaging new frameworks will lead to healthy and effective behaviors.

Two professionals, a woman and a man, sit at a table in a modern office. They are looking at documents, with the woman holding glasses. The man is older with gray hair and glasses. There are coffee cups on the table, and large windows with city buildings in the background.

Engage

Observation and orientation naturally progress towards and require movement to engagement. Lentium clients will be challenged and stimulated to take action on their discoveries and opportunities in their personal lives, families, communities, and organizations - each aspect of a person’s life. Engagement is essential to a lifelong journey of cultural proficiency and intelligence.
